NICE guidance update 2024

NICE are currently updating their guidance: Meningitis (bacterial) and meningococcal disease: recognition, diagnosis and management – it is expected to be published in March 2024, after being delayed initially from December 2023, then February 2024.

Version 1.1 of the SPS ‘Benzylpenicillin injection for suspected meningitis’ PGD template, reflecting current NICE guidance, expired on the 17th  January 2024 and has been removed from the SPS website.

It is anticipated that the updated benzylpenicillin PGD template, reflecting the updated NICE guidance once released, will be published on this page in Spring 2024.
