Speakers from NHS England will share key developments shaping medicines optimisation and pharmacy services in health and justice. There will be an update on implementation of 28 day repeat prescriptions pathway, Health and Justice pharmacy workforce data and updates on current strategic programmes.
Why it’s important
This webinar will provide an opportunity to hear from two prisons that have implemented 28-day repeat prescriptions, focusing on the key elements of their plans and processes.
It will also share information about the Health and Justice pharmacy workforce and how it has changed since 2019, providing context for the delivery of clinical pharmacy services and integration with local regional workforce planning.
Practitioners will also have the opportunity to hear about key programmes and updates as we transition to commissioning by the Offices of Pan-ICB Commissioning (OPICS).
What will be covered
- Brief updates on national priorities.
- Update on 28-day repeat prescriptions, including an example of local implementation.
- Presentation on workforce data, with reflections from the lead provider.
