The event was aimed at healthcare professionals who are new to PGDs and medicines mechanisms. This session reflected on the new e-Learning for Health PGD learning module covered similar content on the background to PGDs/medicines mechanisms and their use in practice.
Why it’s important
This session supported those who are new to PGDs/medicines mechanisms to understand the underpinning legislation and guidance. It provided practical advice on managing PGDs in a variety of healthcare settings and supported individuals in managing PGDs/medicines mechanisms within their organisations.
What was covered
The webinar/s focused on:
- Underpinning legislation and guidance including when PGDs are appropriate and when other legal mechanisms should be use
- The dos and don’ts of PGDs
- An update on the SPS Medicine Governance Do Once programme
