Following publication of “Shared Care for Medicines Guidance – A Standard Approach” a shared care working group has been formed, drawing on members of the national RMOC system and national stakeholders. Relevant subject matter experts will be invited to each meeting to ensure the content of shared care protocols is clinically appropriate. The group will meet monthly, with topics prioritised as outlined below. All topics will cover adults only, unless otherwise specified. All drafts will be opened for a national six-week consultation following the working group meeting.
As per the process for development, the group is using shared care protocols from around the country to inform this work. If you have a recent shared care protocol for one of the drugs below which you are happy to share for this purpose, please forward it to the email address below.
Each batch of draft shared care protocols will be opened for national consultation; consultations can be accessed via the links above. Updated drafts will then be submitted for approval at a full RMOC meeting prior to publication. It is anticipated that drafts from meetings 1 to 3 will be submitted to RMOC North in September 2021, and drafts from meetings 4 to 6 will be submitted to RMOC North in January 2022.
