About the event

Why it’s important

Menopause has been recognised as a key priority within the 10-year Women’s Health Strategy for England.

Although pharmacists are well placed to support patients in the management of menopause, some may lack the confidence in making decisions related to HRT treatment in clinical practice.

What was covered

  • A recap of the menopause, symptoms and diagnosis.
  • An insight into the decision making around the selection, optimising and stopping of HRT.
  • A discussion on the challenges that pharmacists commonly encounter in relation to HRT (with a view to collecting questions that will form the basis of the second ‘On the Couch’ webinar).

The audience provided questions that could be considered for our second ‘On the Couch’ webinar which will be a conversation around some of the challenges that pharmacists commonly encounter in relation to HRT.
