Standard Operating Procedure for transporting Moderna Spikevax® COVID-19 Vaccine from PCN designated sites to end user locations.

Information

The Conditions of Authorisation for Moderna Spikevax® COVID-19 vaccine have been amended to enable transportation at 2-8C of unopened vials in multiple journeys up to 12 hours in total.

Staff at all sites should discuss their plans with their clinical leads and responsible pharmacists as appropriate prior to undertaking transportation of any vaccine type.
