Medicines Information Centres may run Patient Helplines whereby patients and their carers can contact the Helpline after being discharged with any queries or concerns they have about their medicines.

Included below are a number of documents to assist with the establishment and continued assurance of good quality Helplines, which includes nationally accepted Patient Helpline Standards and example SOPs.

These documents have been produced jointly by UKMi, Thames Valley & Wessex, and have been endorsed by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
