A sublingual spray composed of equal amounts of four common UTI‐causing bacteria (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus vulgaris and Enterococcus faecalis) that utilises the patients’ own immune system to prevent recurrent UTIs [1]
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are considered the most common bacterial infections, especially in women. 50–60 % of women report at least one UTI in their lifetime. At least one fourth of these patients will have a recurrence within a year, and 22 % will have recurrent urinary tract infections (RUTIs). On average, each episode of acute UTI in premenopausal women is associated with 6.1 days of symptoms, 2.4 days of school or work absenteeism, and 0.4 days in bed [2]
