Ewing’s sarcoma affects around 30 children per year in the UK. It is diagnosed in white Caucasians under the age of 25 at an incidence of 0.3/100,000 per year. It is very uncommon in the African and Asian population. The median age at diagnosis is 15 years and there is a male predilection of 1.5:1. The condition is extremely rare over the age of 40 .
