Confirmed minutes

The meeting included presentations on using the skills of Independent Pharmacist Prescribers (IPPs) in GPs practices, nursing homes, NOAC anticoagulation clinics and during admission and discharge to hospital.

Work on evaluating the impact of Independent Pharmacist Prescribers (IPPs) in different care areas was shared and topical issues were debated that covered whether prescribing training should be part of the undergraduate or a postgraduate curriculum and whether IPPs risked deskilling junior doctors.
