Agenda

The impact and legacy of COVID 19: pharmacy support for older people

Programme attached

We were fortunate to have a number of multidisciplinary speakers to share their insights on the hospital and primary care impact of COVID on older people, the pharmacy support provided by the discharge medicines service both by hospital and community pharmacy professionals.

We heard two case presentations where pharmacists have used a “blended” approach to support older people with medicines optimisation to improve  physical, cognitive and functional  health.

Finally, we introduced a new section to our event with three speakers providing updates on clinical hot topics: this year they included dementia, diabetes and hypertension/stroke.
