Operationalising Medicines Optimisation – Increasing Efficiency and Reducing Errors to support patient facing activities for Hospital Transformation Programmes

Agenda

I am pleased to be sharing this exciting programme for the  Medicines Use and Safety Network meeting held on Thursday 7th July 2016 at Horizon, Leeds LS10 1JR .  Presentations will be uploaded shortly.

The theme for the meeting was Operationalising Medicines Optimisation – Increasing Efficiency and Reducing Errors to support patient facing activities for Hospital Pharmacy Transformation Programmes and was of interest to senior pharmacists who needed to contribute to or develop HPTP plans and those responsible for transforming various aspects of pharmacy and medicines optimisation services; in particular Chief Pharmacists, Clinical Pharmacy Service Leads and MSOs.  The day included:

*   an Update on The Hospital Pharmacy Transformation Programme from Professor Ann Jacklin (Professional Lead for HoPMoP)

*   Seven Day Working, Digital medicines pathways, iMPACT – prescribing errors as well as skill mixing through maximising your pharmacy technician and assistant workforces

*   Sharing Experiences to support the patient aspects of the Hospital Pharmacy Transformation Programme

– This was the first meeting of the Medicines Use and Safety Network held outside of London and we welcomed delegates who find London venues expensive or a challenge to get to; as well as those regular attendees who may have a little further to travel this time.
