PGD Learning Events – June 2021

Due to the current circumstances, we replaced our usual annual Patient Group Directions (PGD) face-to-face conference with a short series of three Webex events.

Our speakers were our resident PGD experts Jo Jenkins, Tracy Rogers and Sandra Wolper from the MUS team.

The first, two-hour event, was aimed at staff who are new to PGDs to help get started with developing and implementing them.

For those more experienced with PGDs the second, one-hour event, provided valuable updates. Both of these events included a brief update on our ‘Medicines Governance Do Once’ programme, and the chat box facility was available for questions.

Finally, for everyone who attends either of the first two events, the third event provided an opportunity to ask the experts with pre-submitted questions about any issues with PGDs. Some of these may have come up at the first two events but benefited from a more in-depth discussion.
