The South West Yorkshire AMR network allows joint working across the 7 local CCGs, 4 acute trusts, 2 community trusts, 2 mental health trusts, local out-of-hours provider and infection control leads at the local councils. We review local antimicrobial usage and discuss issues pertaining to antimicrobials across primary, community, secondary care, local councils and out-of-hours.
The networks aims are to:
- Review usage data.
- Launch an annual antibiotic campaign with the help of our communication teams, including resources for the public.
- Keep the website up-to-date, including information for the public.
- Formulate actions to help with problems associated with penicillin allergy.
