SPS PGD template for the supply and/or administration of levonorgestrel 1500 microgram tablets for emergency contraception.

Provenance

Written by SPS and the College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (CoSRH), with the support of specialist stakeholders working within clinical practice, for use within reproductive services.

August 2025 – note the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) has now changed its name to the College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (CoSRH). Some web pages and CoSRH documents will continue to display the FSRH name; where you see FSRH, this refers to CoSRH. All weblinks are still active.

Under Review – June 2026

The CoSRH Statement: Meningioma and Progestogens published on the 4th June 2026 will require all the contraception PGD templates to be reviewed to ensure this new advice is reflected.

The Short Life Working Group will complete this review with the aim that any templates requiring an update will be republished by the end of July 2026.

If any organisation wishes to reflect the guidance within the local templates before this review has taken place they may do so in line with local policies.
