Helen has nearly 30 years experience in provision of NHS medicines information services and is now in the role of SPS Professional Lead – Medicines Advice, as such is a member of the SPS Senior Leadership team. Helen’s special interest is horizon scanning and assessing the impact of new medicines on healthcare systems, for which she has provided a consultancy role internationally. Helen also has previous experience in formulary, clinical trials and teacher practitioner posts as well as clinical experience in paediatrics, intensive care and renal transplant. Helen is currently the chair of the SPS Biosimilars and key generics group and a member of the SPS Medicines Optimisation group and Information and Resources group as well as a member of various external groups nationally related to her professional interests and expertise.
