This drop in session will explore gowning within pharmacy aseptic services.
Why it’s important
Effective gowning in pharmacy aseptic services protects the cleanroom environment which in turn protects medicines from potential contamination during preparation. This reduces risks to patients.
Developing the right gowning strategy for your aseptic unit is a crucial factor in managing contamination risks.
This session will help attendees by:
- explaining the purpose of gowning
- exploring principles to consider for cleanroom garments
- discussing examples of where practices can fall short
