Provenance
The national PGD templates for antimicrobial treatments are developed by SPS, with support from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and NHS England (NHSE).
Template versions available
Version 2.0 of this PGD template, valid from January 2026, has been published to allow organisations to undertake local governance processes in a timely manner.
Version 1.2 of this PGD template remains currently valid and will be removed from this page on its expiry (31st December 2025).
